Necesarry and suffiecient conditions for the stability and instability of multi-order fractional-differential equations are explored. We consider a multi-order fractional differential equation with three Caputo-type derivatives.

The stability and instability results are categorized into fractional dependent and fractional independent conditions and are expressed with respect to the coefficients of the multi-order differential equations and the fractional-orders of the Caputo derivatives.
