Author Guidelines

General Information for the ICNPAA 2018 Proceedings

The proceedings will be published by the American Institute of Physics.

Please note that in order to have the contribution included in the conference proceedings, the accepted paper must be presented by a registered author during the conference. In case of unavoidable circumstances, the author should get permission from the general organizer to make other arrangements.

One regular registration will cover the publication of one accepted paper. Each additional accepted paper associated with the same registration will be subject to a mandatory publication fee of 100 EUR.

All regsitered conference participants will have free one-year access to the full Online Conference Proceedings.

AIP Conference Proceedings articles are indexed in Thomson Reuters’ Index to Scientific and Technical Proceedings (ISTP) and can be accessed in their Web of Science database directly with AIP CONF PRO as the publication name.In addition, AIP Conference Proceedings are indexed in:

  • Astrophysics Data System(ADS)
  • Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS)
  • Crossref
  • EBSCO Publishing
  • Electronic Library Information Navigator (ELIN), Sweden

Paper format and templates

The full paper should not exceed 10 pages in length (single-column format), including figures, tables and references. Additional pages will be permitted at the cost of 20 EUR per additional page.

To help ensure correct formatting, please use the AIP style files for the 8.5 x 11 inch, single-column format found at this link as templates for your submission. The ZIP files include the Word or LaTeX templates, as well as the Copyright Transfer Form.

Please read carefully the Author Guidelines included in the ZIP files.

Please note that double-column templates are no longer supported and we ask all authors to prepare their article in single-column format only.

Submission

When submitting your Proceedings Paper and Copyright Transfer Form, please strictly follow these instructions:

  • Proceedings paper should be saved as follows:
    Numerical-Sequence_First-Authors-Family-Name_ICNPAA2018.pdf
    Example: 001_Douglas_ICNPAA2018.pdf
  • Copy right transfer form file should be saved as
    Numerical-Sequence_TCA_First-Authors-Family-Name_ICNPAA2018.pdf
    Example: 001_TCA_Douglas_ICNPAA2018.pdf
  • Please check carefully that the guidelines about page size, margins and figures provided at the link above have been strictly followed.
  • Papers should be submitted together with Copyright Transfer Forms to avoid delay in publishing the proceedings.

 

 

 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. All URL addresses in the text (e.g., http://pkp.sfu.ca) are activated and ready to click.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Conference.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed track of the conference, authors' names are removed from submission, with "Author" and year used in the bibliography and footnotes, instead of authors' name, paper title, etc.
  7. If submitting to peer review, all Microsoft Office documents (including Supplementary Files) have been saved by going to File and selecting Save As; clicking Tools (or Options in a Mac); clicking Security; selecting "Remove personal information from file properties on save"; clicking Save.

Authors who submit to this conference agree to the following terms:
a) Authors retain copyright over their work, while allowing the conference to place this unpublished work under a Creative Commons Attribution License, which allows others to freely access, use, and share the work, with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and its initial presentation at this conference.
b) Authors are able to waive the terms of the CC license and enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution and subsequent publication of this work (e.g., publish a revised version in a journal, post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial presentation at this conference.
c) In addition, authors are encouraged to post and share their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) at any point before and after the conference.
